3 Ingredient Date Sweetened Granola (GF, VG, OF)

A basic everyday granola you need to know. This super quick and easy recipe is perfect for adding your favourite mix-ins too. Crispy, crunchy and some clusters this recipe has everything you need. Only sweetened with dates is gluten free, vegan and oil free.

Ingredients

Base ingredients

  • 100 grams GF rolled oats
  • 85 grams Date paste
  • 2 tbsp water

Date paste

  • 200 grams Dates soaked
  • 30 grams cashew butter
  • 3 tbsp date water

Optional mix-ins

  • 10 grams dried cranberries
  • 10 grams buckwheat puffs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Pre heat oven to 170c. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper.

  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl. Add oats, date paste and water. Stir well to combine, Making sure all the oats are coated evenly in date paste. 

  3. Add in seasoning. Stir to combine.

  4. Spread out granola on to the lined baking tray. 

  5. Bake in oven at 170c for 18-20 minutes. Until golden brown, Leave to cool on tray before breaking up. Add mix-ins and stir to combine.

  6. Store in air tight container in a cool dry place.
