Filled Chocolate Easter Egg (GF, DF)

Make your own Easter eggs with this simple 3 ingredient recipe. Then fill them with either sweets, cookies or ice cream. Making a yummy treat for anyone to enjoy. As they are gluten free and vegan.
Happy Easter everyone. For the first time I decided to make my own Easter egg this year. Using the plastic mould that comes with many store-bought Easter eggs. I then decided to fill each halve to make these filled chocolate Easter eggs.
Making Your Own Chocolate
Making your own chocolate allows you to adjust the percentage of cacao used. A darker chocolate balances the sweetness of the candy toppings.
Its simpler and easier than you might think. With only three ingredients, cacao butter, cacao powder and a sweetener of choice. If you want to make a 100% cacao chocolate bar you don’t need any sweetener.

What Percentage of Chocolate?
Personally a 100% chocolate bar Is very bitter and not very many people would eat it on its own. Which is why you need some kind of sweetener. This way you can created the percentage of cacao that suits your taste best.
For me between 70-85 percentage cacao makes a lovely rich and smooth chocolate, that will satisfy any chocolate craving you have.

Ingredients Used:
Cocoa butter
Cacao powder
Coconut sugar
Vanilla extract (optional)
Candy, cookies, ice cream anything you want to fill the eggs with
Chocolate Easter egg mould
